KIJHL Power Rankings – Week 11 (Dec. 3/23)

 

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its 11th week of action for the 2023-24 regular season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlights the top-five teams based on their performance over the past 10 games, including winning percentage.

 

Princeton Posse
Last Week: 1
Record: 19-4-0

 

The Posse won two of their three games on their Kootenay road trip. They started with a 5-3 win over Creston Valley, then defeated Fernie 5-4 and finished with a 6-4 loss to Kimberley. Their power-play over the three games went 3-for-12, while their penalty-kill went 15-for-20. 

 

Castlegar Rebels

Record: 14-6-2-1

 

The Rebels won both their games against Neil Murdoch division opponents. They shutout Nelson 2-0 and defeated Spokane 5-2. Their power-play went 1-for-11 in the two games combined, while the penalty-kill went 7-for-7. 

 

Revelstoke Grizzlies

Record: 15-5-0

 

The Grizzlies picked up a pair of wins, 5-2 against North Okanagan and 3-2 against Chase. Their power-play went 3-for-8, while their penalty-kill went 11-for-12. 

 

Grand Forks

Record: 15-7-1-2

 

The Border Bruins won both their games last week against Beaver Valley 3-1, and Kimberley 4-1. Their power-play went 2-for-14, while their penalty kill went 8-for-9. 

 

Sicamous Eagles

Record: 19-4-1

 

The Eagles won their lone game last week, 6-5 in a shootout against Kamloops. Their power-play went 1-for-6, and the penalty-kill went 4-for-5.
