Gamble, Senger & Cantini named KIJHL 3 Stars

 

 

Joshua Gamble (Castlegar Rebels), Leo Senger (Creston Valley Thunder Cats) and Dario Cantini (Creston Valley Thunder Cats) have been selected the Hudl Instat Kootenay International Junior Hockey League 3 Stars of the Week for the period ending Nov. 26.

Gamble – Top Forward – The Wilcox, Saskatchewan product helped the Rebels win their games against Spokane and 100 Mile House with three goals and two assists. Against Spokane in a 9-1 win, Gamble assisted on the winning goal and finished with a goal and two assists. Against 100 Mile House, Gamble scored the overtime winner in a 3-2 final. Gamble leads the Rebels with 24 points in 21 games.

Senger – Top Defenceman – The North Battleford, Saskatchewan product collected four assists in two games to help the Thunder Cats earn victories over Golden and Fernie. In a 4-2 win against Golden, Senger assisted on the opening goal, then collected his second assist on the eventual winner. In their win against Fernie, Senger assisted on the goal to give them a 2-0 lead, then assisted on Nikolai Morrison’s winning goal in a 4-3 final. Senger also finished with a combined plus-five rating, as per Hudl Instat. In 21 games, Senger has nine points.

Cantini – Top Goalie – The Cap-Pele, New Brunswick product helped the Thunder Cats earn a pair of wins by stopping 73 of 78 shots. In their 4-2 win over Golden, Cantini made 32 saves and against Fernie, in a 4-3 win, Cantini made 41 saves. He finished with a 2.50 goals against average and a .936 save percentage combined. Cantini has six wins in 11 games with a 2.57 GAA and a .928 SP.
