Play for the Rebels

OBJECTIVES

The Castlegar Rebels are a Junior A hockey team playing out of Castlegar & District Recreation Complex.

The Rebels primary objective is player development, both on and off the ice.

We have seen a number of our players advance to higher levels of Junior, College, and Professional. Along with developing our on-ice program, another source of pride for our team is our players’ off-ice development and community involvement.

The Rebels have won four KIJHL Championships 1977, 1978, 1996, and 2013.

LOCATION

Castlegar is a city with an approximate population of 10,000 people located in the West Kootenay region. During summer months locals spend their time in the great outdoors that engulf the valley city, with numerous campgrounds, hiking and biking trails. In the winter locals flock to the surrounding ski hills.

LEAGUE

The Rebels play in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League within the Neil Murdoch Division. The Regular Season consists of 44 Games + Best of 7 Playoffs.
