Neil Murdoch MVP Returns; 20-year-old situation becomes clearer as the Castlegar Rebels announce leadership group for 2017-18 season.
The KIJHL regulations allow for a maximum of five 20-year-old players. Last season, the Rebels had three players graduate, where this season the Rebels were faced with shedding a few to get to the maximum of five. Last week, the rights to Kyle Bergh were moved to Princeton. All four players that will be wearing a letter this season are 1997 born players, or players in their 20-year-old year, making that picture clearer. The Castlegar Rebels are proud to officially announce the leadership group that will be paving the way through one of the most anticipated seasons in recent Rebels’ history. These are the four players that will be wearing a letter on their sweater. The Rebels will announce the player to be captain later, but for now wanted to get the group solidified.
